Questo brano è stato interpretato dalla Caterina Bueno e nonostante risalga ai primi del '900, è ancora molto attuale: parla di quando gli emigranti eravamo noi che partivamo per l'America in cerca di fortuna, ma, come purtroppo spesso accade anche oggi, non sempre il viaggio della speranza giungeva a termine e tanti ne morivano. Noi speriamo che ricordare la storia possa aiutare a prendere consapevolezza e ad affrontare in modo sano le situazioni difficili, senza puntare il dito contro le persone che hanno una cultura, un colore, una lingua e un'apparenza diverse dalla nostra, ma accogliendoli come esseri umani uguali a noi.
